New park opens on the Etobicoke Creek trail
Nine hectares of restored floodplain, and a bridge two cities argued over.

The park completes the trail link between Burnhamthorpe and the lake, and the bridge — split down the municipal boundary — took longer to negotiate than to build.
The floodplain restoration is doing its job early: the July storm pooled where the engineers drew it, and nowhere else.
