Peel courthouse backlog hits 14 months for a two-day trial
The region's only courthouse is scheduling civil trials into late 2027, the longest wait in the province.

The backlog is worst on the civil side, where a two-day trial booked today gets a date fourteen months out.
The attorney general's office says two additional courtrooms open next year. The bar association points out the same promise was made in 2023.
